1. Cookies and similar technology
Cookies are small files a website can place in your browser. Local storage can also remember information on your device. UK PECR rules cover both. Optional technology is not loaded merely because you visit this site or scroll a page.
2. What this application uses
| Name / technology | Purpose | Duration | Choice |
|---|---|---|---|
phw.preferences.v1 — local storage | Remembers analytics/media choices, policy version and time of choice. | Up to 180 days | Essential to remember your privacy choices; not used for advertising. |
| Body-map selection, exercise search and filters | Displays your current choices in the page's working memory. | Current page only | Not saved in browser storage or sent to the server/analytics. |
| YouTube privacy-enhanced video player | Plays an optional Rehab My Patient demonstration. Google/YouTube may access or store information once loaded. | Controlled by the video provider; see its policy. | External media is off by default. Both permission and a play action are needed. |
_ga / _ga_* — Google Analytics | Not currently set by this website: analytics is not connected. | Not applicable while disconnected. | Optional analytics permission is required before loading. |
The hosting and security layer may use essential delivery or protection technology independently of this application's own storage. Its exact provider settings remain subject to the clinic's provider review. This table is not a claim to have audited every third-party cookie on an external website.
3. Making and changing your choice
“Accept All” allows the optional categories listed above. “Reject Optional” leaves both off. “Customise Preferences” lets you choose separately. Rejecting is as accessible as accepting. You can read the main content without allowing either category.
Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. If browser storage is blocked, the choice can apply for this visit but may not persist. Clearing site data or using another browser means you may be asked again.
Withdrawing media permission removes embedded players; withdrawing analytics permission prevents further collection, clears first-party Google Analytics cookies accessible to this site and reloads the page if analytics was active. It cannot erase information already held by an external provider or third-party storage outside this site's control. Use that provider's privacy controls for those requests.
4. Videos and external links
No external video thumbnail or player is requested before consent. Demonstrations use YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain after you press play. This is not a promise of zero tracking once a video loads. See Google's Privacy Policy ↗ and Rehab My Patient's Privacy Policy ↗.
Choosing an ordinary external link takes you to that provider's website; its own privacy and cookie choices then apply. External exercise programmes remain separate from the public library.
5. Analytics and marketing
Google Analytics has been prepared but is not connected to an account, so no Google Analytics script loads. Choosing analytics consent does not create an account or turn on an unconfigured service. The site does not use advertising pixels, remarketing, fingerprinting or session replay.
If Google Analytics is configured later, it must remain consent-gated, with Google signals, advertising features and automatic enhanced-measurement features disabled in the account. We do not assume Google Analytics qualifies for a statistical-purpose consent exception.
See the Privacy Policy for controller details, rights and contact information, or ICO information about cookies ↗.
